The Woodlands Inn is a welcome alternative to traditional, and often clinical, care centers. Designed with details that resemble a charming New England inn, each of our four state-of-the-art, specialized homes accommodate just ten residents, creating an intimate, family-style atmosphere and opportunities for personal connection.

The Massachusetts Executive Office of Aging & Independence has certified The Woodlands Inn at Edgewood to operate a 40-apartment Assisted Living Residence, including three specialized 10-apartment memory support households designed to provide compassionate, personalized care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Innkeepers: Consistent, personalized care
Consistent, highly trained teams of Innkeepers are a central feature of the small-home model at The Woodlands Inn. As a steady and reliable presence in residents’ lives, Innkeepers serve a variety of roles within the home, tailoring services to individual needs, interests, abilities, and preferences. Along with support staff, Innkeepers take care of the home 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Located on Edgewood’s picturesque, 100-acre campus adjoining conservation land and scenic Lake Cochichewick, The Woodlands Inn doesn’t just feel like home — it feels like a haven. Residents enjoy beautiful woodland views, outdoor courtyards and large windows that flood their homes with natural light and help them maintain a sense of connection to the natural world.
Priority access to higher levels of care on campus
As a LifeCare community, Edgewood offers a full continuum of healthcare services right on our campus. Residents at The Woodlands Inn receive priority access to higher levels of care at The Meadows Health Center at Edgewood, should they ever need it. Skilled nursing care for short-term rehabilitation or long-term care, advanced memory care and hospice are all available.
